Chemical Structures
Chemical structure is determined by the three-dimensional network of bonds between atoms in a molecule. Use Wolfram|Alpha to visualize structures in 3D with a space-filling model, where atoms are shown as spheres proportional to their van der Waals radius; with a ball-and-stick model; or as a skeletal structure. Two-dimensional diagrams provide a simplified representation of the molecular structure, giving information on the bonds and atoms without showing the 3D structure.
